Pendle ReWild Yourself Community Hub
ReWild Yourself, an initiative by the Voice for Nature Foundation, is creating the second ReWild Yourself Community Hub in Pendle.
Pendle Location
The ReWild Yourself Community Hub — Pendle, will be located next to SS John Fisher and Thomas More Roman Catholic School.
Address:
Next to SS John Fisher and Thomas More Roman Catholic School, Gibfield Rd, BB8 8JT
What3words address:
///sprouted.gears.lifelong
Why this Location?
There are multiple schools within walking-distance that will benefit from a safe, outdoor space to connect with Nature. Additionally, the area also faces biodiversity pressures, low canopy cover and is in need of active efforts for Nature recovery.
Creating this ReWild Yourself Community Hub and ERANDA Forest will open up safe access to Nature connection for the community, as well as help improve local wildlife and biodiversity.
The Community
We are working closely alongside the local community to co-create this ReWild Yourself Community Hub, with local entities and groups such as SS John Fisher & Thomas More RC School and Pendle View Primary. We’ll continue to engage with more members of the community as the project progresses. If you are a member of a local community group and would like to get involved please contact us for more details!
The ERANDA Forest
The ERANDA Forest will be planted with the help of local schools, community groups and our forest partner and designer SUGi, in late May 2026. We will be planting many different native species, including English Oak, Hornbeam, Field Maple, Silver Birch, Wild Cherry and Field Rose, using the renowned Miyawaki Method.
ReWild Yourself Community Programme
There will be a ReWild Yourself Community Programme of Nature connection workshops co-designed with our expert partner facilitator, Natural Academy, along with other local organisations and groups. Individuals can become accredited facilitators under the NatureWell approach by Natural Academy. The sessions will engage youth and adult groups running from 2026 to Spring 2028.
