VIDEO PODCAST: Meaning Pathway
As part of our ‘It’s Time to ReWild Yourself’ campaign, we invite a series of experts for a chat.
This month we are joined by storyteller Marcus Pibworth and Regenerative Systems Thinker Kai Njeri, to reflect on teh Meaning Pathway to Nature Connection.
Like the best walks, adventures, and even nights out (!) what I liked about this chat was that it wasn’t over-planned. It’s the sort of risk you can take when you have two fabulous storytellers on the same podcast, both immersed in Nature and our relationship with it.
Our discussion was a lovely ramble, visiting various topics, including how we draw personal meaning from nature, natural metaphor and symbolism in culture, experience vs knowledge, the value (or not) of anthropomorphism, celebrating the changing seasons, and of course, the role of storytelling in Nature connection.
We also finished with a wonderful reading by Kai of here specially commissioned piece, inspired by the Meaning Pathway to Nature Connection, which you can also read here.

Kai Njeri
Kai Njeri is many things all at once – a grower, gardener, designer, teacher, poet, healer, doula, campaigner and facilitator. In her own words, she is a “regenerative systems thinker and designer”. As far as we can tell, she is a force of Nature!
Based in Tanga, Tanzania, Kai is tirelessly bettering lives through improved Nature connection, food sovereignty, sexual and reproductive health, and by tackling gender issues. But at the heart of all her work is Nature, as a source of physical and mental health, but also as a teacher, whose principles and systems can inspire the way we organise, relate to each other, and live our lives.
