The Regroupement des éco-quartiers (REQ)

The Regroupement des éco-quartiers is a non-profit organization founded in August 1999 by leaders of the Éco-quartier program wishing to pool their resources.

The Regroupement des éco-quartiers is made up of non-profit organizations that promote the Éco-quartier environmental program. This group promotes the development and outreach of the Éco-quartier program as well as the pooling of tools and intervention practices in the field of environmental education.

In addition, the Regroupement des éco-quartiers develops and offers educational, management and communication services to promote the quality of life of citizens and the feeling of belonging to the living environment.

The Regroupement des éco-quartiers is currently made up of 19 members with activities in 15 boroughs of the city of Montreal, reaching 1,375,000 people to accomplish the mission of the Éco-quartier program. The objectives of the latter are to promote eco-citizenship and improve the living environment of Montrealers through environmental actions carried out by citizens who are called upon to become real actors of change.
