Nottingham ReWild Yourself Community Hub

ReWild Yourself, an initiative by the Voice for Nature Foundation, is creating its first ReWild Yourself Community Hub in Nottingham.

Location

The ReWild Yourself Community Hub – Nottingham, will be located just off of Harvey Road in Broxtowe, next to the football field at Bluecoat Beechdale Academy.

Address: Bluecoat Beechdale Academy, Harvey Road, Nottingham, NG8 3GP

What3words address:  ///farm.this.lots

Why this Location?

There are small pockets of woodland dotted around the area, so adding a forest here would increase habitat connectivity. Since the community around the site has very low access to nature, creating this ReWild Yourself nature connection community hub and ERANDA forest will open up safe access to nature for the community.

The Community

We are working closely alongside the local community to co-create this ReWild Yourself Community hub, with local entities and groups such as Beechdale Bluecoat Academy and Diversify CIC.  We’ll continue to engage with more members of the community as the project progresses. If you are a member of a local community group and would like to get involved please contact us for more details!

The Forest

The Forest will be planted with the help of local schools, community groups and our forest partner SUGi, in late November 2025. We will be planting 23 different native species, including English Oak, Hornbeam, Field Maple, Silver Birch, Wild Cherry and Field Rose, using the renowned Miyawaki method.  If you would like your local community group to be involved in the planting please get in touch!

Facilitators

There will be a programme of Nature Connection workshops co-designed with our expert partner facilitator, Natural Academy, along with other local organisations and groups. Individuals from the local community will be trained to co-deliver monthly workshops and become accredited facilitators under the NatureWell approach by Natural Academy. The sessions will engage youth and adult groups running from Spring 2026 to Spring 2028.

Nature Connection Programme

Please contact us if you’re a member of a Nottingham community group and would be interested in taking part in our ‘free to attend’ Nature Connection programme. The workshops will be held at our community hub in Nottingham, the sessions will be held monthly over a 4 month period – 4 sessions in total for a maximum group size of 20.
