ABOUT the ReWild Yourself Community Hubs
ReWild Yourself, an initiative by the Voice for Nature Foundation, is creating a network of ReWild Yourself community hubs across the UK, supported by The ERANDA Rothschild Foundation.Â
The ReWild Yourself Community Hubs aim to increase access to Nature, local biodiversity and community wellbeing, starting in three different UK cities in 2025 – 2026. Each of the Hubs features a 1000sq m pocket forest co-designed with SUGi and a Nature connection programme co-created with The Natural Academy, as well as local partners and the community. Beyond the programme, the Hubs are a welcoming space for the community to gather, reflect, play and enjoy.
ERANDA Forests
Each biodiverse, native, climate-resilient pocket forest co-created with SUGi, our forest partner, utilises the Miyawaki method, a way of planting saplings that has successfully resulted in fast growth and high survival rates in hundreds of forests all over the world.Â

Nature Connection Programme
Each hub will run a series of Nature connection workshops co-designed with our expert partner facilitator Natural Academy, local organisations and groups. Inviting people from the local community to join a 4-month programme, led by accredited, trained locals, the hubs will host the delivery of over 200 sessions over the course of 3 years, with cohorts from the local community.Â
Programme Evaluation
The wellbeing and Nature connectedness levels of participants will be recorded prior to, during and after the programme with the help of expert research partners. The results will be evaluated to gather feedback, and help refine the programme for future participants and other practitioners.Â
A Long-Term Vision
The pilot programme will run over the next three years; during this period, working with partners and the community, the hubs will become self-sustaining. The Miyawaki method of planting forests means that after three years, the forests can survive with almost no intervention. By training facilitators selected from each local community to run the workshops and work closely with locals to develop the sites, we ensure the local community benefits from the hubs long-term.
